The Galaxy A07 from August 2025 is the successor to the A06 and a genuine step forward on two counts: the screen refreshes 90 times a second instead of 60, and Samsung promises six years of updates rather than four. Set against what it costs, that makes it one of the most sensible entry-level choices in the range. You buy it from us brand new and sealed, with a 2-year warranty.
Screen and performance
The screen measures 6.7 inches, is an LCD panel and has an HD+ resolution. That remains the compromise of this price bracket: less sharp than the Full HD AMOLED screens of the A16 and A17. The 90Hz refresh rate, on the other hand, does make an immediate difference — menus and timelines glide past noticeably more calmly than on the A06. Under the bonnet sits the MediaTek Helio G99, the same chip as in the Galaxy A16. It is a class quicker than the A06's Helio G85 and built on a more efficient 6nm process, which you see back in the battery life.
Battery, camera and build
There is a 5,000 mAh battery here too, with 25 watt charging over USB-C. Count on a full day, longer with light use. The 50 megapixel main camera takes sharp photos in good light; optical stabilisation is not included, so for evening shots you have to stand still. Alongside the main camera sits a second sensor of 2 megapixels. The front camera is 8 megapixels. New compared with the A06 is the IP54 rating: splashes and dust do no harm, but submerging it is out of the question. The headphone socket and the separate memory card slot have stayed. NFC is missing, just as on the A06, so contactless payment is not possible.
Six years of service
The strongest argument for the A07 is the promise of six Android version upgrades and six years of security updates — unusual for a phone in this price bracket and years longer than the A06 gets. Anyone who wants to keep a phone a long time and not swap every two years is buying peace of mind.
Who is the A07 for?
The A07 is the choice if you want to spend as little as possible but still use the phone for years. If you want a noticeably better screen, the jump to the Galaxy A16 with Super AMOLED is the logical next step.

Three things. The A07's screen refreshes 90 times a second instead of 60, which makes scrolling feel calmer. The processor is a Helio G99 rather than a Helio G85, which is noticeably faster and more efficient. And the most important one: Samsung promises the A07 six Android upgrades and six years of security updates, against two upgrades and four years for the A06. For the small price difference, that makes the A07 the better buy.
Is the Samsung Galaxy A07 waterproof?
Water-resistant, not waterproof. The A07 has an IP54 rating: it copes with dust and with splashes from any direction, so rain or a spilled glass is no problem. Submerging it is not allowed and is not covered by the warranty either. If you want a phone that survives a fall down the shower drain, look at the Galaxy A26 5G with IP67.
Does the Galaxy A07 have 5G?
No, the Galaxy A07 runs on 4G. Across most of the EU that is fine for most people: the 4G network is fast enough almost everywhere for streaming, video calls and navigation. If you do want 5G in the same price bracket, the Galaxy A17 5G is the model you are looking for.
