Apple gives every iPhone colour its own name, and it changes every year: the black on the 13 is called Midnight, on the 15 simply Black and on the 15 Pro Black Titanium. On refurbished devices you often see the names in Dutch. Below are all official colours per model from the iPhone 12 onwards, with the English and Dutch names, followed by our advice.
In short: black and white are always the best stocked and hold their resale value best. Titanium (15 Pro, 16 Pro) shows scratches the least. The bold colours (Cosmic Orange, Ultramarine, Lavender) are the scarcest refurbished; if you want one, be quick.

Which colour to pick? Honest advice
- Resale value: black, white and the titanium shades resell most easily and fetch the most at trade-in. Bold colours are fun but narrower in demand.
- Wear: matte titanium and Midnight/Space Black show fingerprints but not scratches. On glossy silver and gold (11 Pro through 14 Pro) scratches on the steel frame stand out most.
- Refurbished stock: black and blue come in most, because they sold most. A specific colour like Cosmic Orange or Alpine Green can be gone for weeks; leave your e-mail address on the model page.
- Case: if you put a case on anyway, the colour only matters for the frame and the back around the camera. Then choose on price and condition rather than colour.

Frequently asked questions
Which iPhone colour holds its value best?
Black and white, and on the Pro models the natural and black titanium variants. They are searched for most and resold fastest.
Are there price differences between colours for refurbished?
Not by default with us; the price depends on storage and condition. A scarce colour may simply sell out sooner.
Is Midnight the same as black?
Almost: Midnight (13 and 14) is a very dark blue-black; in most light it reads as black.
