What is a refurbished iPad?
A refurbished iPad is a professionally reconditioned device: tested on 50 points, repaired where needed and cleaned, with all data from the previous owner wiped. You pay far less than for a new one and get a 2-year warranty with us, including the battery. A tablet lasts for years, so refurbished is especially worthwhile on an iPad.
Which refurbished iPad suits you?
For reading, films and browsing at home, the standard iPad is the sensible choice: everything most people need, at the sharpest price. Want a compact size to take everywhere? The iPad mini is ideal. The iPad Air is the sweet spot: thin, fast and Apple Pencil ready, great for studying, drawing and working. For the very best — a big 120Hz screen, the fastest chip for video editing and demanding apps — the iPad Pro 12.9-inch is the top of the range.
How much storage do you need?
iPad storage cannot be expanded, so choose well up front. For reading, streaming (Netflix and YouTube keep nothing locally) and browsing, 64 or 128 GB is plenty. If you keep lots of photos, offline films or large apps and games, 256 GB is a good fit. For heavy files, 4K video or drawing software, go for 512 GB or more. Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + 5G (cellular)?
A Wi-Fi iPad goes online through your home network or your phone's hotspot — enough for most people and the cheapest option. A cellular model (Wi-Fi + 4G/5G) has a SIM slot or eSIM and is online anywhere, without reaching for your phone. Handy if you work, navigate or use the iPad for business on the go. A cellular iPad also has a true GPS chip for more accurate navigation. In the list above, each model shows whether it is a Wi-Fi or cellular version.
Battery, battery life and updates
Every refurbished iPad we sell has a tested battery that lasts comfortably on a charge; if a battery is worn, we replace it. Apple typically provides six to seven years of iPadOS updates from launch — so a model that is a few years old will keep going for years. If you use the iPad mainly to read, stream and browse, a slightly older model is perfectly fine. For the newest features, a more recent iPad Air or Pro keeps you covered the longest.
Refurbished, second-hand or new?
Second-hand means buying as-is: no checks and usually no warranty. Refurbished means the iPad was inspected and repaired where needed before it was sold. Compared with new you quickly save a few hundred euros for the same tablet — and one less device has to be manufactured. If you would rather have a sealed device, we also sell new iPads.

Frequently asked questions about buying a refurbished iPad
What is the difference between a refurbished and a second-hand iPad?
A second-hand iPad you buy as it is. A refurbished iPad is checked first: we test every device on 50 points, replace whatever is not right, clean it and wipe all data from the previous owner. After that you get a two-year warranty. With a private seller you have no such certainty.
Can I use the Apple Pencil and a keyboard with a refurbished iPad?
Yes, provided the model supports it. Which Apple Pencil (1st generation, 2nd generation or USB-C) and which keyboard fit an iPad depends on the model and generation. Each model's product page states what it supports. The iPad Air and iPad Pro work with most accessories; the standard iPad and mini with their matching Pencil.
Which storage and which model should I choose?
For reading, streaming and browsing, 64 or 128 GB is enough and the standard iPad or iPad mini will do. If you keep lots of photos, films or large apps, choose 256 GB. For drawing, studying or working, the iPad Air with 256 GB is a comfortable middle ground; for heavy work like video editing, the iPad Pro with 512 GB or more. iPad storage cannot be expanded, so it is better to go slightly larger.
How much warranty do I get on a refurbished iPad?
Two years, on every device, including the battery. If something breaks in those two years through no fault of your own, we repair or replace it free of charge. You also have 30 days to change your mind: if the iPad is not what you hoped, send it back and you get your money back.
What is the difference between a Wi-Fi and a cellular iPad?
A Wi-Fi iPad only goes online through Wi-Fi or your phone's hotspot. A cellular iPad also has a SIM or eSIM, is online independently anywhere and has a true GPS chip for more accurate navigation. Cellular is a little more expensive and handy if you use the iPad a lot on the go or for business. Each model in the list shows whether it is a Wi-Fi or cellular version.
Is a charger included and are the iPads clean?
Every device is fully cleaned and wiped before it moves on. A matching charging cable is included; an adapter or case can be ordered separately. The original box is rarely still around with a refurbished iPad — so you do not pay for it either.
