What is a power bank?
A power bank is an external battery for your mobile devices.
It is easy to take with you, giving your phone, tablet, laptop
or smartwatch just that bit of extra power to get through the day.
You connect this rechargeable battery to your phone with a USB cable, and your phone charges itself, just as it would from a wall socket.
Why would I want a power bank?
If you are out and about all day, you often have no chance to charge your phone or tablet in between.
A power bank solves that problem, because it supplies your phone, tablet or even laptop with extra power, or charges them fully again.
Ideal for getting through a lecture, a working day or a holiday without being unreachable.
How do I use a power bank?
On the power bank you will find one or more USB ports.
With certain power banks you can even charge up to 4 devices at once.
You plug the charging cable into a USB port on the power bank and your device gets energy again.
It really is that simple! Many power banks have an LED indicator showing how much energy is left.
How do I charge a power bank?
The most common way to charge is via USB.
Using the supplied cable you connect the power bank to your computer, after which it charges.
Charging from a wall socket is also possible, but not every power bank comes with a cable with an 'old-fashioned' plug.
Power banks suitable for laptops, however, often do come with an adapter.
