Important checks before you buy

- Battery condition – Ask about the maximum charging capacity. On iPhones you can see it under Settings > Battery. A phone with 80% capacity or less can quickly cause problems.
- Screen and housing – Small scratches are fine. Big cracks and sharp edges are not. Also check that the touchscreen responds everywhere.
- iCloud and Google account – Fully signed out? Ask whether Find My iPhone or device protection has been turned off. We often see devices that are still linked to an account.
- SIM lock and networks – Does the device work on your network? Ask about SIM locks. Some carriers apply restrictions.
