iPhone 14 vs iPhone 13: how big is the difference, really?
This is one of Apple's smallest generational leaps. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 share the same design, the same 6.1-inch OLED display, the same notch, and both run the A15 Bionic chip. That's exactly what makes this such an interesting comparison for the budget-conscious buyer.
So what actually is different?
The iPhone 14 has a few small advantages: a slightly better main and front camera in low light, Crash Detection, and a marginally longer battery life. Beyond that, there's little technical difference — both will run the latest iOS for years to come.
Camera
Both feature a 12MP main camera. The iPhone 14 performs a little better in the evening thanks to a larger sensor and the Photonic Engine. In daylight, the photos are virtually indistinguishable.
Price is the deciding factor here
Because these two phones are so close technically, price is what matters most. Refurbished, the iPhone 13 is typically noticeably cheaper — while giving you almost exactly the same experience in hand.
