Below are the tips I share most often in our Nijverdal store. You can apply them straight away and they'll often free up space immediately.
- Check what's using the most space: Go to Settings > iCloud > iCloud Storage and you'll instantly see which categories are eating up the most room.
- Delete old device backups: Old iPhones or iPads sometimes still create backups. Remove backups from devices you no longer own.
- Optimise Photos: Turn on 'Optimise iPhone Storage'. Your original photos stay in iCloud, while your phone keeps smaller, lighter versions.
- Clear out WhatsApp storage: Large videos and voice messages can take up a surprising amount of space. Within WhatsApp, you can delete media on a per-conversation basis.
- Limit which apps back up: Disable iCloud backup for apps that don't really need it, such as games or streaming apps.
